ISHL12 - Special Focus

 Cologne, April 2026

 Dear colleagues,

The 12ᵗʰ International Symposium on Hodgkin Lymphoma (ISHL12) will take place in Cologne, Germany, between October 24 and 26, 2020.

ISHL12 will cover the whole spectrum of research and treatment related to Hodgkin Lymphoma (HL).

Special Focus:
Elderly Patients

This time, a particular focus will be devoted to the care of elderly and frail patients. These patients still have a much poorer outcome when compared with younger HL patients.

No accepted standard-of-care has been defined so far. This is mainly due to the heterogeneity of this population ranging from those who can be treated with approaches also used in younger patients to individuals who cannot tolerate even single-agent chemotherapy.

Treatment optimization based on clinical trials has been a challange since only a small minority of patients have been enrolled into prospective studies.

At ISHL12, we will focus on novel strategies in the treatment of older and frail patients and their specific needs. Additionally, approaches to improve the proportion of elderly HL patients that can be treated within clinical trials will be discussed.
