Cologne, September 2026         Dear colleagues,         The 14th International Symposium on Hodgkin Lymphoma is almost here. We look forward to welcoming you at the Gürzenich in Cologne from 3 to 5 October 2026 for three days of science, discussion and exchange.         Cologne will be especially busy on that weekend.             Saturday, 3 October: German Unity Day         The first congress day falls on a national public holiday in Germany. Shops, supermarkets and most services will be closed on that day.             Sunday, 4 October: Cologne Marathon         On Sunday, around 25,000 runners and several hundred thousand spectators will fill the city. The finish is right by the Cathedral not far from the Gürzenich. Please expect road closures across and diversions on several tram and bus lines starting at 6 am.         Our recommendation is to leave the car at the hotel, walk if you are staying in the city center, and allow extra time. Please check the KVB journey planner (kvb.koeln) on Sunday morning. If you are staying in Deutz, crossing the Rhine may take longer than usual.             Getting to Cologne         Cologne Central Station is well connected if you arrive at Cologne Bonn Airport, Düsseldorf Airport, or Frankfurt Airport.
